History
The name Redlien has been closely linked to pump construction since 1890. By combining his initials and by recognising his hometown, engineer Theodor Redlien in Kiel (TRIK) gave the one-man enterprise its name. In addition to the construction and repair of pumps, he became increasingly involved in developing his own pumps. Following this strategy he was first able to offer self-priming centrifugal pumps and pumping stations in 1947. Manufacturing to customers’ individual requirements was given a priority even at this stage, and has since become a cornerstone of the economic success of our company to the present day. Between 1958 and 1985, Adolf Rönnau managed the successful company, which was registered first as a sole-trader style enterprise and then converted into a GmbH (limited company) in October 1985.
The seven directors were all long-term staff. The positive partner- ship within the management team and the excellent working atmosphere are still very much in evidence today and are doubtless an important reason for the success of TRIK-Pumpen GmbH. In the mid-1990s, the range of services was expanded by taking on additional manufacturing programmes for gear pumps (Orsta Hydraulik – 1994) and centrifugal pumps (Loewe/Grundfos – 1996). Under the experienced leadership of Managing Director Karin Kretzing, TRIK-Pumpen GmbH produced an annual turnover of 1.5 million euro with 15 employees. An increase in turnover can be expected in coming years particularly due to the promotion of export business, in- cluding in Eastern Europe.
